In addition to a stint as Strategic Projects Manager, her management experience includes positions as Customer Service Manager and Professional Services Director leading teams of engineers, technicians and project managers. "... in the right place at the right time" at Intermec, she landed a two year expat job in Sydney and Melbourne Australia after a merger that had not gone well, where she rebuilt the technical teams; trained them and deployed a well equipped and functional professional services group. She's managed multiple projects around the world for Intermec and Ryzex and trained others to do the same, all the while generating revenues and enabling hardware sales in the tens of millions at both companies. Her work at Ryzex gained her vast knowledge on multi-vendor products from Symbol, Intermec, PSC, PsionTeklogix, HHP, and more.

From early on in her career, she has done what it takes to get the job done, from writing her own tech manuals and learning graphics and creating her own marketing data sheets, to learning databases and developing a full blown DB app for one of her departments when the IT staff was backed up, to developing reference manuals to make a tech support department's life easier, to becoming an armchair attorney developing her own contracts for professional services engagements when legal counsel was not available. "Back when the information super highway was just a dirt road" as she puts it, she promoted and developed Intermec's first web pages, when most of her colleagues didn't even know what hypertext or the world wide web was.

Lately she's been traveling and corresponding with writers, artists, technologists and geeks, developing new outlooks and insights on the world around us. Maggie has been blogging, helping friends develop their bogs, developing web sites and consulting for small businesses, and studying the potential of the social networking and web 2.0 and 3.0 and, and, and... "The world is changing fast" she says and we'd better keep up. "All those gen X'ers and now the gen Y's are upon us, the Zed's will be here before we know it and then what?"
